Package #10 Fall special - Tundra Wildlife Excursion
-1:00 p.m. check in for flight from Anchorage to The Farm Lodge. The flight to the lodge takes you through the scenic Lake Clark Pass, where you will see glaciers and glacial streams in one of Alaska's most beautiful mountainous settings.
-Check in to The Farm Lodge. Lodging includes a room with private bath, home-cooked Alaskan meals,* and daily maid service.
-Guided fly-out bear viewing. Travel by floatplane to a remote location where you will spend an exciting day viewing and photographing Alaska's notorious Grizzly and Brown Bears feeding and interacting in their natural environment. Our fall bear viewing takes us to remote locations where the bears have gathered to feed on a massive run of Sockeye salmon.
-Guided fly-out tundra wildlife/sightseeing tour. Our special bush-equipped wheelplane will take you over the tundra in search of wildlife and scenic landscape. The day includes flightseeing as well as at least one off-airport landing for sightseeing and photography.
-The end of this day will drop you off in a remote tundra area where our guide will have a camp set up for a 2-night stay, giving you a more intimate look at the Alaska backcountry. The Farm Lodge will provide a guide, tents, cots, sleeping bags, camp chairs, and a complete kitchen and food (to be prepared by your guide) for this portion of your stay.
-Guided hiking and wildlife viewing in remote tundra area. The Alaska tundra in the fall provides beautiful hiking with opportunities to see caribou, ptarmigan, foxes, bears, and a variety of other wildlife.

-3:00 p.m. pick up from remote camp and return to The Farm Lodge on Lake Clark.
-Local unguided hiking to the Lake Clark National Park Service Visitor's Center, Tanalian Falls, and Kontrashibuna Lake.
-9:00 a.m. check out and return flight to Anchorage.

Our packages are designed for small groups and provide you with a personalized experience. The floatplane and guides are with you for the day, giving you the flexibility to move about and explore the best of the remote Alaska backcountry. These tours truly take you away from the crowd and into Alaska the way it is meant to be experienced.
The Farm Lodge is now taking reservations for 2022 through 2024. A 50% deposit is required in order to hold a reservation against other inquiries, with balance due 2 months before the date of your stay. The deposit is refundable up to 80% only if all cancellations are made no less than 2 months before the scheduled travel date. If you are planning a visit in 2023 or 2024 you can take advantage of our 2022 rates by making reservations before January 1 of 2023. *Due to the varied age of our staff and the wide diversity of groups we host at The Farm Lodge, we do not allow alcoholic beverages in the main lodge building (dining room). The Farm Lodge does not serve lunch in its dining room but provides excellent box lunches for each day of your stay. The above packages include the transportation of up to 50 pounds of luggage per person between Anchorage and Lake Clark, with everything over 50 pounds traveling at 90 cents per pound, each way. The package rates also include park service fees and taxes. The rates do not include voluntary gratuities.
